Kerry Ryer-Parke has been singing professionally since the age of six and is a well-known soprano soloist and private voice teacher in the tri-state area. She has been working with the chorus since 1993, Director since 1995 and is currently on the faculty of Bennington College and an adjunct instructor of voice at Williams College. She recently sang the world premiere of Gregg Kallor's Frankenstein with Arizona Opera in the role of Elizabeth, followed by Lola in Cavelleria Rusticana with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra conducted by James Gaffigan. Earlier this year, Beck returned to the Lyric Opera of Chicago where she was a member of the Ryan Opera Center to cover the title role in La Cenerentola. In recital, she recently partnered with Craig Terry for Florentine Opera’s Spotlight Recital and at her alma mater, the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. Other recent engagements include another Rosina with Florentine Opera in Il barbiere di Siviglia, and at the Metropolitan Opera for its production of Akhnaten. Katie has also appeared at the Tanglewood Music Festival, the Santa Fe Opera, the Aspen Music Festival, Opera Buffs Inc. in Los Angeles, and Pittsburgh Festival Opera. She graduated with her graduate degree in Vocal Arts from the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California in 2016 and completed her bachelor's degree at SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music in 2012. Ben April is a vocal music educator at the Long Trail School in Dorset. He currently serves as the Director of Music Ministries at the Community Reformed Church of Colonie, and as the accompanist of the Albany-area choir Capital Community Voices. He also has a private piano and voice studio at his home in Shaftsbury.
Deborah's professional life is rooted in theater. She is an Equity stage manager and has been the executive director of the National Shakespeare Company in New York City and the production/company manager of The People's Light and Theatre Company outside of Philadelphia. She has been working with the Bennington Children's Chorus since 2007.
Lauren has played the piano since she was a young child. She now has three young children of her own and her house is full of music - cello, piano, violin, saxophone, oboe, recorder and voice!
